adsmellow
Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 18, 2026
1. Who we are
adsmellow (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the adsmellow sponsorship marketplace at adsmellow.com (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we share it. Contact: contact@adsmellow.com.
2. Data we collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- Account data: name, email address, organization details, and authentication codes used to sign in.
- Publisher data: site URLs, slot and package details, creatives metadata, and Stripe Connect account information needed for payouts.
- Sponsor data: brand and bid details, placement preferences, spend-related settings, and payment method references (we do not store full card numbers).
- Transaction data: proposal status, amounts charged, platform fees, payouts, refunds, and dispute-related records.
- Usage and device data: approximate analytics such as pages viewed, referral information, and technical logs needed to operate and secure the Service.
- Communications: messages you send us (for example support email) and transactional emails we send you.
- Waitlist data: email and interest preferences if you join a waitlist before creating an account.
3. How we use data
We use personal data to:
- Create and manage accounts, organizations, and sessions
- Run auctions and placements, including charging sponsors when they win and paying publishers
- Process payments, refunds, payouts, and related compliance checks
- Send transactional emails (sign-in codes, bid updates, receipts)
- Provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the Service
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
4. Payments and Stripe
Payments and payouts are processed by Stripe. Sponsors add a payment method that Stripe stores; we keep Stripe customer and payment method identifiers so we can charge a winning bid. Publishers connect a Stripe account so they can receive payouts after our platform fee.
When you provide personal data in connection with payments or payouts on adsmellow, Stripe receives that personal data and processes it in accordance with Stripe’s Privacy Policy. Card details are handled by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
5. Analytics
On the production site we may use privacy-oriented analytics (such as Umami) to understand aggregate usage. These tools are configured to avoid collecting unnecessary personal identifiers where practical.
6. When we share data
We share personal data only as needed to operate the Service:
- Other users: sponsors and publishers see limited information required for bids and placements (for example brand name, site details, bid amounts, and proposal status).
- Service providers: hosting, email delivery, databases, and Stripe for payments and Connect.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer.
We do not sell personal data.
7. Retention
We keep account, transaction, and support records for as long as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, meet accounting and legal requirements, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account; some records may be retained where we have a legitimate need or legal obligation to keep them.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures appropriate to a web marketplace (encrypted transport, access controls, and vendor security practices). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact contact@adsmellow.com to make a request. You can also update account details in the product where available, and manage payment methods through the Service and Stripe.
10. International transfers
We and our providers may process data in countries other than where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by our providers.
11. Children
The Service is for business users and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
13. Related terms
Use of the Service is also governed by our Terms of Service.
